Re: Project CARS.
the 4 tyres on the grass does make the car extremely skittish if setup right but keep in mind that a lot of the promotional videos utilise tcs, stb ,abs etc etc etc etc. but even if the cars run 90% normal on grass its still more acceptable than the dreaded kitty litter in forza which can be a full on race killer.
I watched 1 video where a chap went touring round a track.... his driving was awful an i mean truly bad. he was off at most turns and although he was able to drive back onto the track with relative ease his speed on grass was reduced in order to maintain stability.
It is a valid point though and defo one to seek better clarification over

Assists, and it has the same physics, due to easy optimisation the consoles are holding there own against the PC versionII AntR II wrote:There are Xbox One gameplay videos all over the place. I remain rather skeptical.. I mean... 4 tires on the grass... nothing happens? I smell fishy! Also, it might be possible that physics are less complex on the Xbox than on the PC.

Re: Project CARS.
Myles posted a article (well, a review on a forum actually) on the GTP forum regarding how PCARS was at EGX.
"As some of you may know, we visited London yesterday for a trip to the EGX at Earls Court. I was there for 2 reasons, Oculus Rift and Project Cars.
In this post i'll cover Project Cars as much as i can.
We both waited and took some footage of the driving on show and then took our turns to smash the competition in an LMP race, both coming 1st on the XBox One version. The PC version however was not so easy to pick up and play with the settings that had been pre set on the controller being used. The driving view on both versions was equally impressive with multiple choices of 3rd person, bonnet and bumper views and lots of on board including one which shows the wheel complete with textured Race Gloves and all the dashboard buttons and lights which would make any fighter pilot feel at home.
They both look very impressive, nice and crisp with amazing back drops. It was hard to get any kind of idea how the handling and responsiveness was as they were both set up with full assists on. The handling on the PC version felt a bit light and twitchy compared the Xbox One, I assume that this was due to the controller they had rigged up to it wasn't completely mapped, while the XBox one felt a lot smoother and responsive.
I had a very interesting conversation with a representative from Project Cars/Bandai/Namco about the features on the Box One, that weren't on show, that we would need to make this title more of a consideration for league racing on site. After speaking to him about what is missing at the moment from a popular racing title on the XBox One, he showed me some neat things from the PC version and handed me the controller so i could see for myself how much work had gone into a particular feature that we need. I can't say what he told me in confidence and what he showed me on one version that hasn't yet been added to the other version but i will say.. it's definitely there...
A great opportunity to get my hands on this early access to what is probably the most anticipated racing game ever. Thanks to the Staff at the Project Cars stand at EGX 2014 for being as informative as they were, what bloody nice chaps!"

Re: Project CARS.
Liking the sound of this, PCars looking more like the race series game of choice the more we hear about it.
So, will TORA mainly be supporting PCars on XB1, PS4 or PC? The current platform of choice is Xbox 360 with FM4 [soon to be Xbox One and FM5].

Re: Project CARS.
I think TORA will probably continue to run events on both Forza and PCars, if we look at it as a combined giant racing platform were actually spoiled for choice.
Obviously i'm not staff so this is opinion only but i could see a pcars, fm5, fm4 and community section which would be massively cool.
And Mr Grovesy36 I will happily be amongst the first to sign up for your superkart championship.

and if a Livery editor DOES make into the console version in some form, you can guarantee a few Mario Kart themed karts would be there

Re: Project CARS.
Ive played Project Cars and tbh it is really good but i doubt it will take over FM5 but thats totally depending on the fan base of both games, Even if u put 2 tyres on the grass on Project Cars your tyres spin up and you either spin out or if ur clever enough you can just about keep it, but its whatever anyone is up for in a racing simulator game i guess, i also was at EGX i couldnt find the XBox version as i only had 5 hours to play as many games as possible and only managed to find the PC version haha

Re: Project CARS.
To be honest, as a community that's motto says "As Real As It Gets", I would think that they'd go with the actual sim that is pCARS over FM5...
Re: Project CARS.
There's no "main platform", just wherever there's demand we fill it. The only limitations are ourselves and how we can host them etc.
Personally, I think there will be a couple of series on pCARS at first, and that will grow. As I mentioned, whatever happens next depends on demand. Maybe people will be bored of the game, or maybe people will drop Forza altogether in favour of it.
Look at FM4, for instance. When FM5 was released, there weren't many members on FM5 compared to FM4. Over time, more people got FM5 and less people on FM4, and we are now gradually phasing that out.
Ideally there will be a 50/50 split between Forza and CARS but I guess we'll just see how it all pans out. It looks good for sure.

Cool Altought I disagree with the PC Part for one simple reason. My CSR doesn´t work on the Xbox One heeheehe
Fanatec hinted this in their facebook. Does anyone have any spare money?

Re: Project CARS.
Ideally mainly XB1 as we have a largely console audience.
However, if the demand is there and the manpower is available nothing is out of the question.

Re: Project CARS.
Gamepad footage I've seen recently seems a whole lot better.
Dodgy movement can be put down to
a) rubbish drivers
b) high number of assists being used.
c) low AI setting (remember the AI can be set by a multitude of degrees of difficulty too)
