I didnt think it was a issue to change the rims I did it to all my cars I tested, I personally would let drivers just choose their rims aslong as its to the PI.

I agree Chaddy, but we are trying to enforce specific tyre widths as well. We've allowed 3rd party rims with tyre width changes for ages now, dunno why it's all of a sudden an issue.

I think its expected, the car has no top speed like the lambo. Its way faster in the corners then any other car though and has good acceleration. (Viper)

ok chaps a bit late but ive just had word from HMR Motorhead regarding the P1 list he claims that the Acura , Honda lola and the Mazda lola could all do with +1 front tyre width adding to get them perfectly on par with the real P1 cars for sebring they all currently run .500 behind the audi ,peugeot and aston with the proposed front tyre upgrade they become perfectly balanced .

if this was bought to my attention from anyone else i would pretty much just shrug it off but HMR has produced many tunes for IRT and i trust him 100% when it comes to tuning R1 class cars , this is totally my fault as i didnt spend enough time actually tuning the cars 100% during testing.

thoughts ?

I disagree

I feel Acura is fine the way it is but yes I think the Mazda and Honda should be looked at again, but why cant one of us just stick one tyre width on them and try them? Do we really need to get someone outside to do our cars for us?

ok hes quick but we have quick R1 guys here too who we have knowen long as well, I'm not doubting that hes a good guy and would do what we ask of him but I just cant help feeling that My work of testing the cars will be wiped out due to one fast guy. think we should all agree on the changes if any come around.

im not too sure its a power issue. just tried it out with 'no aero', and the dbr9 is maybe 1mph faster than the Vette with 'no aero' with the 20% power handicap. i think the issue is the grip handicap. just ran a single clean flying lap with no grip handicap, and the 20% power (no aero, and some minor tweeks) and hit a 2:02.651. that would make it the car to beat, so i think taking 5% grip off either the front or rear should balance it out.

I think it's a grip issue rather than power. I honestly don't think it should be on the list anyway, if it's going to be an issue I would vote to take it off.
