the person in question asking to have this looked at what are his lap times.

Right these times are with a 825Pi Aston with no tuning and no TCS.

20% Power/5%Front/5%Rear = 2.05.518
15%Power/5%Front/5%Rear = 2.05.230
20%Power/0%Front/0%Rear = 2.02.951

So that basically tells you how much the 5% grip does to the car.
We could up the power to 30% with no grip handicap? (Ive got work so no more time to test but I REALLY don't want the Aston to be dropped so Ill do more tonight!

no the 20% power handicap keeps it at 500bhp if you increase that it just wont have the legs .

right well how about 15% power with only 5% at the rear?

tune the car or ask for the tune in question its no way 3 seconds off pace.

we have to find a baseline without tuning it. As you can see the car can easy do 1.59s with a tune and no grip handicaps thats why I suggested doing 25%/30% power and no grip handicap so it can be in the 2min laptimes once its tuned up.

20% is the right power handicap, some of the GTE cars run less than 500bhp.

I would say 20% power, 5% rear. However, as I said, we could just drop it...

I am not making a decision on this until a) we have more times from people b) I see relative times from CQR Daniel in other cars. Daniel is saying it's 3 seconds off Pythons pace, can Daniel even match Pythons pace in the same car he has done it in? If not, then maybe it isn't the car.

So far people who are testing it are the people who desperately want this car to be in, so the views are a bit biased. It wasn't picked up earlier to be 3 seconds off the pace, so all of a sudden because one of the potential drivers can't match Python it's all of a sudden a crap car? I'm not buying it.

Either it stays as it is or we drop it, it's not a GTE car and the rest of the GTE cars seem to work pretty damn well with each other.

in recent weeks ive built a good relation with Python let me speak to him and see what he can do in the Aston , no offence to any driver or team but ONR do have one of the best R class tuners in the game and matched with Pythons freekishly fast pace it just pays off.

Thanks, need to make a decision by the end of the weekend however. It's getting to close to be messing around like this. Remember it has to deal with Le Mans as well. Hence why we aren't giving it any more power.

Python is running TCS im sure he is, hes so early on the power during the GT races. Daniel doesnt run TCS.

When I tested the car with no handicap I could use 2nd gear in the 1st section, however with the handicap Im using 3rd gear. Without the handicap the cars brakes so much better and turns in very sweetly, Id get Daniel to try 5% rear and muck about with the power to see whats best. Hey even If the Aston is say a second slowest than the fastest GTE car I'll still use it.

running with or without TCS is a drivers choice if its quicker with it on then clearly dan needs to turn it on.

Dan does not need to turn it on why say something like that?

I was talking to Dan last week and we would rather TCS was banned but understand why its not.

If we start testing the Aston with TCS on thats bs as its not how the car really behaves. If we do it without TCS and then leave up to the driver who chooses to run it. The Aston can be tail happy if you just smack the throttle down, You drive like a V8 supercar really, for the 1st few laps then once the tyres are warm its much easyer out the turns. The less power the Aston has the easyer it is out the turns.

VAMR guys, PLEASE don't overpush the story. We need the car in for more reasons than just you guys enjoying the drive. We have sponsors and corporate partners to consider.
We can do just as well with the car as it is now. However, I wouldn't put everything on what Daniel says because he's quick regardless.

no tuning setup.

20% power handicap and 0% grip handicap , time = 2.00.7 in 3 laps will run 59s with ease so is too fast.

15% power and 5% front and rear grip handicap , time = 2.01.2 in 3 laps will go faster.

well we have a few of us running now , me ,python ,takumi , motorhead and bullin wall and were all saying atm that its fine as it is no need to try and get a easy win.

ok weve just also ran at le mans with the 20%power and 5% front and rear grip handicap and it also is on pace here .

2 choices imo either deal with it as it is or pick another car.

Agreed, Thanks Trash. It's too fast with adjustments, or it just off the pace as it is.
