Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
I'd test that on the Esperante. It was the fastest car but not sure how much faster it is. If they don't allow rim upgrades it could be okay as it has Buddy Clubs and those are the lightest.
For me testing was:
Esperante
Vette/BMW
Ford/Abruzzi/Lambo
Jag/Ferrari
The Panoz was about a tenth quicker than the Vette/BMW. The next three cars were about another tenth back but my Abruzzi tune sucked ass. The Jag and Ferrari were the slowest by another .250ish.
I tested at Road Atlanta, Nurb GP, and Motegi but can't find my results anywhere for exact times. Don't know if the web app saved or what. Those were my best three tracks and most consistent.
Here is what my sheet says but it is off. Takumi ended up with an 18.8 in the Esperante, 18.9 in the Vette and said he could get an 18 in the BMW but it was a tiny bit slower than the Vette. All of these times are off about that much.

Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
The Esperante won't be on the list for this season. it's too old and we have the Abruzzi to replace it.

Cheers dude do these PI match the PI in the OP? If not can you add PI and tyre widths where different
Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
Ah, ours was with tunes. Some of the cars improve quite a bit with tuning and some can run without downforce while some can. The Porsche's have to have it while the Corvette does not. That can skew the times quite a bit.
Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
PI and tyre width added. VM builds use specified rims, so some PI's might be higher (or lower) than the PI with stock rims.SelectiveRogue wrote:F4H Koenigsegg wrote:Anyway, here are my testing times from the current VM ALMS builds. All with stock tuning and stock downforce.

Cheers Drake, some good times. I found the Porsche slow but was starting to warm up to it. Needs a tune and more laps.

A rear tyre width increase would most likely help the overall stability, but I fear the Porsche would easily dominant the 'short' courses.

i would like too see the M3 GT2 , Esperante GTLM and the 2007 Porsche not in this series but aside from those 3 cars this list looks pretty solid.
Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
The M3 will be staying it, the Z4 isn't a true GTE car and may not make it into our series. We need that M3, I don't know why you hate it so much
Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
Just to chime in on the class strutrue, I can see why you'd like p2, but I think LMP1, LMPC and GT would be a good class structure to have so that you have healthy numbers in all classes.
Also from a competitors standpoint, the racing we have had in the Alms series at VM has been fantastic. The cars are really balanced and really provide good racing at the builds Thom has them at. I think in the first 3 races, we've had at least 5 different cars in the top lobby seperated by less then by just a couple of tenths.

Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
So is the general consensus to use VMs exact list of cars and builds/PIs? I don't want to go down the route of being accused of copying ideas and such again and sharing the same car list won't help. I know not much can be done with these cars anyway, but still.
Also, there will be 3 classes and P2 is currently the favorite as it showed some popularity last year and was attended more than the LMPC class earlier in the year. However, I completely get LMPC and think it could be worth trying again.

Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
LOL I know but pretty much cars are balanced (plus its F4h list no VM) see above any way will get more times in today
Re: ISCC Phase 1 Testing
LOL
Thom balanced the cars for VM and offered the same one's here. That isn't copying.
