Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
If I had that much money spare i sooooo would, but unfortunately I find it very hard to justify spending fanatec levels ;O(
But, if I could, I sooo would.
remember, I got the Madcatz for £160 all in. Turns out its not even worth £1!!!

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
I've had my Fanatec CSR for about 1 month, had a lot of weird glitch issues with it, not to mention its' inability to save any of my settings.
Took the time 2 nights ago to flash everything and update to the latest firmware (which I wrongly assumed it came with) and now it works great!
Last weekend during the GT eries my wheel did 2 full rotations w/o my input sending me hard into the wall...weirdest thing I've ever experienced.
Anyway, glad to get that off my chest and I'm finally hapy all seems to be working well

That's precisely where my settings are, all though I have been playing around with 700-900 sensitivity, as I really like the feel of a firm wheel.

Richy wrote:Alright, I guess it's all down to personal preference but this is whta I have set up on the CSRE so far:
Profile S_1 - used for TORA GT cars.
Sensitivity (SEN) - OFF -- Just noticed that you can turn this optionall the way down to 'off' which accroding to the manual uses the game presets to set the sensitivity, so I will try that out on FM4.
Force Feedback (FF) - 90
Shock Vibration (SHO) - 60
Drift Mode (DRI) - 1 -- This allows you to lessen the dampening of the wheel allowing for quicker lock to lock turns. It can also be set to off.
ABS Vibration (ABS) - 100
Linerarity (LIN) - 10 -- Supposed to make it easier and give you precision around the centre of a large steering angle (900 degrees) but I haven't really noticed it.
Dead Zone (DEA) - 10 -- Because the wheel is that strong any slight movement when the wheel is centred on a straight is deadly.
Spring Settings (SPR) - -1
Damper Setting (DPR) - -1 -- (I keep playing around with SPR and DRP, haven't quite got them figured out yet.
Auto Clutch - On -- You won't have this option yet on the CSR, but it shoudl be available as firmware soon as its a Beta on the CSRE.
Profile S_2 - Used for the N24 -- Pretty much the same but I lowered the steering angle for the thinner tyres to 220 degrees and but it onto no deadzone.
Gonna jump onto FM4 and try this 'off' setting on the sensitivity, see if that stops me having to tune the wheel depending on what car I am driving.
Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
I am unable to read this article thanks to my works internet security, but it doesn't sound good. The latest Xbox update has affected wireless steering wheels.

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
Some of our Fanatec users have had problems since the updates (there was one update last week which not everyone got, then another update this week which is supposed to fix the problems) - got a thread here with some of the problems and fixes our guys have found:

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
Sounds like it's good that I'm thick enough not to know how to upgrade the firmware
Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
Been having a few problems with this new update. I was trying out the '13 Viper on the Autovista race, and the force-feedback kept going weird. It would suddenly be stiff, then really loose, then veer to the right or left. Really annoying and distracting.

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
last night a lobby is was in, when a player quit he dragged out some others from the lobby. When we started the next lobby race with everyone rejoined, it felt different, like it did before the dash update, and today I managed a 1:21,4 again!! go figure

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
Currently there is now a fix for the Wheel issues that have been affecting numerous third party wheels.
Please visit this thread on the Xbox Support forums to find out how.

Re: Official New Wheel Discussion
Thrustmaster have just announced a new Xbox wheel - it's a foldable wheel, pedals and cockpit setup. No force feedback but could still be a good alternative to the pad for those that don't have space for a regular wheel:
